I am a mum to two gorgeous children- my daughter, who was born in early 2017 and my son, who was born in early 2019. I am an Australian woman from an Italian background. I speak English and Italian, and I would love to learn French too.
My hobbies include reading, writing and any sort of art or craft. I also love travelling and I have travelled to 21 different countries in my life. I can’t wait to take the kids overseas for the first time when the pandemic eventually ends.
I am a secondary school teacher and I began…
Influencers were an integral part of my plan when I turned my hobby into a successful business. In fact, working with them skyrocketed my business in less than a year, and I now have many regular clients.
It was only about a decade ago that influencer marketing was reserved for celebrities and maybe just a handful of bloggers with huge followings. Fast forward to 2021 where it seems there are new influencers popping up in an already saturated market.
In fact, it has grown so much that influencers can actually be broken down into categories: Mega, macro, micro and nano.

I used to enjoy getting a professional spray tan regularly, but I found it would get very expensive. So in 2016, I decided to buy my own spray tan machine and tent, and set it up in the garage. I used it to spray tan myself, my sister and friends. I only charged my friends enough to cover the cost of the product, not enough for me to make a profit.
I never actually intended to turn this into a business. I am not in the beauty industry at all. I am a teacher and I also owned a photo…
Have you always wanted to be a content creator but you’re stuck because you don’t know what topic you want to focus on? I know exactly how you feel. I started a personal blog several years ago and just wrote about whatever interested me at the time. I suppose it could have been a lifestyle blog because I wrote about the food that I cooked, my career as a teacher, parenting, business ownership, photography, and a little bit of fashion. It was just a mish-mash of content.
I honestly felt that I was going nowhere because my blog was not…
Ok, I’d like to preface this by saying that I am not intending to shame anyone. I firmly believe that, when it comes to parenting, there’s no right or wrong way. Just because something works for me, doesn’t mean it works for everyone else. Having said that, my husband and I have chosen to limit our kids’ images being shared on the internet. I would like to share our reasons in case you were considering the same.
We do have private Facebook and Instagram accounts and, from time to time, we do share images of our kids on those platforms…
Do you ever feel noise running through your brain? Do you find it hard to go to sleep at night but can’t explain why? Do you experience brain fog? All of this can be caused by having a cluttered mind. You have too much activity in your life and your brain simply can’t relax.
You’re not alone. I used to experience this, too, and so do many others. I used to be so overwhelmed with my brain fog that I would cry by myself at night. I would be mentally exhausted all day, every day.
The good news is I…
Freebies have been used as a marketing tool for a long time. It is nothing new. I remember when I was little, I could buy a packet of chips and get a free Tazo inside. For me, the incentive to buy the chips was the fact that I would be getting another one of these little cardboard discs to add to my collection. Similarly, McDonald’s used to offer a free Coca-Cola glass with any medium or large Big Mac meal.
The difference, however, is that these freebies came from a storefront from large, established businesses. If you are going into…
A month ago I read David Majister’s pledge to submit 30 articles to 30 different publications over the course of 30 days. He welcomed any reader to join in on the challenge, so I decided to take him up on the challenge, beginning on 2nd March.
David had some pretty awesome results from his challenge which you can see here:
Through this challenge I wanted to:
As you can see on the screenshots below, I began the challenge with 78 followers and ended with 338 followers. …
I am significantly overweight, and I resolve to lose weight. However, I was scared to go to the gym or go out for a run initially. I was afraid that others would judge me for being so large, and I thought I would look stupid if I didn’t know what I was doing. Now I realize I was silly, but I honestly thought other people would make fun of me.
I had no choice but to get over my fear. Here’s what I did:
When I exercise, I feel self-conscious if I hear anyone talking or laughing, even if it…
Parenting didn’t come naturally for me and my husband. Whether it be breastfeeding, nappy changes, sleep times or figuring out why our kids were still crying despite us giving them what they wanted, we were completely clueless. And we mostly just tried to work it all out on the spot.
However, there was one thing that was most important to us and we desperately wanted to get right: We wanted to develop meaningful relationships with our children.
For us, a meaningful relationship means that our children trust us and confide in us. It means that we spend quality time with…
