Hold on a second. Not everyone knows it is a female name. My husband is Greek, living in Australia. His name is a male name in Greece, but in English speaking countries, it is a female name. There's tonnes of examples I can think of. Such as Andrea and Nicola being male in Italy and Michele being male in France. All three of those names are female in English speaking countries. There are plenty more like that
